DOCTOR OF PHYSICAL THERAPY

Megan Godsey discovered her passion for fitness and movement science while serving on active duty in the U.S. Coast Guard. She earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Sports and Health Science, with a concentration in Exercise Science, through American Military University in 2012 and 2016. After transitioning out of the military and starting a family, she went on to earn her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Arcadia University.

Megan has experience treating a wide range of orthopedic and neurological conditions, including acute injuries, post-operative rehabilitation, balance impairments, and stroke recovery. However, she is especially passionate about Women’s Health, connective tissue disorders, and hypermobility conditions. Her treatment approach is highly individualized, combining manual therapy, tailored exercise programs, and patient education to empower individuals to take an active role in their recovery and achieve lasting improvements in quality of life.

Beginning in early adulthood, Megan experienced seemingly unrelated pain, injuries, and joint issues that were further exacerbated by years spent flying as a crewmember in military helicopters. During her second pregnancy, she credits physical therapy with helping her maintain the ability to walk comfortably and remain active.

Later, she was diagnosed with hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, which finally connected the “big picture” behind years of recurring injuries and unexplained flares.

Today, Megan draws from both her clinical training and personal experience to ensure each person she works with is treated as a whole individual — not simply as a diagnosis or isolated injury.

Outside of patient care, Megan spends much of her time continuing to learn and research so she can provide the best care possible for her patients. Beyond being a physical therapist, she is also a wife and mother to her two sons.

She enjoys strength training, exploring her new home in Southern Nevada, and spending time with close friends and family.
