George Alecu, PT, DPT
DOCTOR OF PHYSICAL THERAPY

Movement is the foundation of life, and I’m passionate about understanding how the body functions as a whole. With over 9 years of experience in orthopedic rehabilitation, sports performance, chronic pain management, and movement science, I’ve helped individuals recover from injuries, regain strength, and optimize performance.

Originally from Romania, I began my journey in physical therapy before earning my Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in the United States. Throughout my career, I’ve had the opportunity to work with a diverse range of patients and athletes, including soccer players, UFC fighters, wrestlers, professional figure skaters, long drive golfers, HYROX athletes, and active individuals looking to move and perform at a higher level.

My approach to rehabilitation goes beyond isolated symptoms. I strongly believe the nervous system plays a major role in pain, movement, recovery, and overall function. The body is an interconnected system influenced by biomechanics, neuromuscular control, lifestyle habits, stress, sleep, nutrition, and mindset. Because of this, I focus on personalized, science-driven care that combines manual therapy, movement analysis, strength training, vestibular rehabilitation, neuro-based approaches, and individualized exercise programming to help patients achieve meaningful long-term results.

As a former Taekwondo athlete, my connection to physical therapy is also deeply personal. After experiencing multiple leg injuries during my athletic career, I discovered firsthand the transformative impact rehabilitation can have, not only physically, but mentally as well.

At LVPTS, we combine hands-on care with advanced rehabilitation techniques and technology to create individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s goals.

Whether helping someone recover from surgery, manage chronic pain, improve balance and vestibular function, or return to competitive sports, my goal is always the same: to help people move better, feel stronger, and regain confidence in their bodies.

Outside of the clinic, I enjoy staying active through weight training, skiing, traveling, and outdoor activities. I have a deep passion for sports and personal growth, and I value spending time with family and friends who continue to inspire and motivate me every day.
